She Coined It.

Janice Dickinson - America’s self-proclaimed first supermodel was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. in 1955. She's best known for conquering the covers of Vogue, Bazaar and Cosmopolitan magazines worldwide and judging on America’s Next Top Model for four seasons. She is a the star of the reality TV world with her Oxygen network series, The Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency, which documents Dickinson’s efforts to staff and operate a Hollywood modeling agency.  She has appeared in three productions of Celebrity Get me Out of Here. After decades in the entertainment industry, Janice is now shifting her focus towards a fresh path in the music scene, and on social media platforms, generating over 300 million views and 800 thousand followers thus far.

Janice is an active recording artist with two EPs and multiple singles released between 2022 and 2025.

"I Coined It" — debut single (May 2022) and EP (December 2023)

Janice's debut single "I Coined It" — featuring James Jeffrey and Donita Brandon — was released in May 2022. The song's title is a direct reference to her well-known claim of having coined the term "supermodel," and the track became the cornerstone of her debut six-track EP I Coined It, released December 31, 2023. The dance-pop EP reached #1 on the US iTunes Dance chart and also includes "Get Into It" (March 2023), "Floor" (2023), "I'm That Bitch," an extended version of "I Coined It," and a remix of "Get Into It" by The Perry Twins.

Self-titled EP (2025) — the classic-rock shift

In 2025 Janice released her self-titled second EP, Janice Dickinson — a six-track record marking a stylistic shift from dance-pop into classic-rock-influenced songwriting, in the spirit of Stevie Nicks and Fleetwood Mac. Tracks include "Get Me Out Of This Dress," "Firestarter," "Legacy," "One Life," "I'm Still Standing Here," and "Lovesick." Each of the lead tracks was also released as a standalone single in 2025.

Influences and lineage

Janice cites Aretha Franklin, Janis Joplin, and Stevie Nicks as her recent music's primary musical influences. Her connection to American music traditions runs deep: she was previously married to a piano player who toured with B.B. King, and spent time on the road with the band — during which her voice was heard by B.B. King and blues legend Muddy Waters.
